something simple.

over the years i've been feeling like my style has been changing. lately when i'm shopping, i'll spot something that i feel like i can rock, but know that i'll only wear it a couple of times because it's too loud of a piece. i feel like i'm leaning towards more on the comfortable side of fashion, but still have that pop of something different whether it be a pattern or color. i've always dressed up according to my mood anyway, and that fluctuates on the daily. and on this day i wanted to wear something more airy, comfy, and different.

also to join me, daniel got all dressed up to, and without me asking him to! so proud girlfriend moment over here.

i'm wearing:
top- tj maxx
bottoms- super old, can't remember the name of the store
sandals- ross
bag- kate spade

he's wearing:
top- jcrew
blazer- perry ellis
bottom- most likely american eagle
shoes- uhh.. im not so sure lol

later gator.

last week we had the chance to spend a birthday for one of my sweet friends! and she chose to celebrate it by going kayaking! coolest way to do it too! so here are a few of our adventures!

and to add to that, daniel and i had a little adventure of our own...
we had to leave the group early so i can make it to work on time. as we turned our kayak around, and went on our little merry way back to where we came from, we headed into an area that we didn't recognize. actually, daniel didn't recognize it, and i was distracted on my phone trying to give my work shift away (ugh).

as we continued kayaking forward, going towards the edges of land (and sooo dumb of me for still being on my phone) out of alertness, daniel alarmed me that we were heading straight towards a 6 foot long ALLIGATOR!!! we were only 3 feet away from it, and out of panic i kept rowing... but rowing towards it. yes i know guys, my flight or flight is not to par and I WOULD be the first one to die in a horror movie because of it. as we approached the gator (cause you know i was rowing as fast as I can -___- ) it dived straight into the water and splashed us with it's tail and swam to the other side of the river. thankfully we came out okay. but because where we rowed into was a dead end, we still had to pass the gator that was now on the other side of that river. we silently and speedily rowed out of the little grove and just couldn't believe our luck.

so lesson learned: if texting and driving shouldn't be a thing, texting and rowing shouldn't either... especially in florida.

also, other lesson learned: sometimes you'll only have .3 seconds to react in dangerous situations... i'm gonna need to work on that.

pure magic.

years of friendship, and it's like nothings changed at all!
this family guys. i can't.
they added some pretty designs to the Purple Wall! i'm feelin' it Disney.
seriously one of the best rides.
dangerous tip: i actually love riding this ride with the lap bar loose enough for me to stand up a bit. it makes things that more exciting.

so precious.
we span this tea cup so fast that once it stopped, Joycie almost fell out of it lolol
my heart was throwin' confetti all day for just being around these people.
last one's at Magic Kingdom and we got to dance to Pixar's UP! pure bliss.

i feel so fortunate to have Disney World right in my back yard, while thousands of people travel from the other side of the world to go! and even then, I still get excited for planned Disney Days! we were the last guests at Magic Kingdom!! i've stayed there till it was empty once before, but never been the very last guests there. it was an honor lol.

but it's definitely my favorite time of day at Disney. you're so used to the crazy crowds and the loud noises. but we waited out the crowds of people by having a really late dinner on the lawn in front of the castle (the most relaxing and secluded thing to do ever as the park is closing) and enjoyed each others company with the great view. and if you give it about an hour to an hour and half after the park's closing hours, the park get's a little more empty as the time goes on and it's just pure magic and bliss.

we had good friends move back and visit FL and it was the greatest ever. we all kind of grew up with each other the past couple of years, and being able to be together again was as if nothing's changed at all. i just feel so grateful that friendships exist and can last 10 and 20+ years.

in all honesty, i can still see us have these planned Disney Days with a couple kids down the line, and maybe even when we're in our 70's. these people are keepers.
